The Tournament

Le Classique is held over a Friday and Saturday, with each team being guaranteed 3 games over the course of the two days. The first games will commence Friday evening with games running until 11:00 pm, finishing under the lights. The Saturday games begin at 9:00 am and run all day until the tournament wraps up around supper time on Saturday night.

Early Registration is $120 per team. Team roster sizes will be limited to a maximum of 7 players (including goalie). Regular registration will be $150 per team.

Goalies will be allowed to use full ice equipment, with standard limitations on equipment. The ball used will be the standard Canadian Tire orange street hockey ball (made by Winwell). Any standard hockey stick can be used.

The format is simple – teams are divided into pools of 4 teams, with a round robin taking place in each pool. Playoffs will be single elimination, until a winner is decided.
